Category: freesea aquarium heater

This 110V-120V/60Hz aquarium heater comes with a 4.6 ft power cord and a US standard plug, making it suitable for use in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The heater has a normal working accuracy of ±3°F, but its efficiency can be influenced by the tank size and ambient temperature.

If you have a small fish tank or the tank is located in a high ambient temperature room, please set the heater temperature lower than your desired temperature. Conversely, if you have a large fish tank or the tank is in a low ambient temperature room, set the heater temperature higher than your desired temperature. In either case, please take the time to monitor the water temperature changes and adjust the settings accordingly, especially if this is your first time using the heater.

To operate the heater, firstly turn the blue button on the top to adjust the temperature as needed. The blue number displayed in the round circle indicates the temperature you have set. Secondly, place the heater upright in the water, ensuring the suction cup is firmly attached to the tank wall. Thirdly, plug the heater into a power socket. Depending on the tank size and environment temperature, it may take a few hours for the water to reach the set temperature. Please be patient.

When you need to turn off the heater, unplug it from the power source before removing it from the water to avoid dry heating, which could damage the heater. Unplug the heater 10 minutes before performing water changes.

The heater is designed for intermittent heating. During operation, it will heat for 5 minutes and then stop for 2 minutes (indicated by the light turning off). This cycle helps maintain the accurate water temperature and a comfortable environment for the fish. Do not worry when the heater stops and the light goes off; it will automatically restart heating after 2-3 minutes.

For maintenance, we recommend regularly checking the heater's working status. If you notice any unusual signs, unplug it immediately. Clean the heater's suction cups every 3 months using 140°F warm water. If you find any soil or moss buildup on the heater, unplug it, wait 10 minutes, and then clean it with fresh water, especially the heating part. Do not use any other liquids to clean the heater, as this may damage it.

The heater must be fully submerged in water to function properly. To ensure the temperature sensor can accurately detect the water temperature, install the heater near water flow or use a suitable water pump to help heat dissipation. When working with the heater, avoid putting your hands in the water to prevent electric shock or burns. Unplug the heater when cleaning or maintaining the tank.

Do not expose the heater above the water, as this could cause the glass and other parts to break.
